Please register on Meetup. \nJoin us for a guided hike at Spruce Acres followed by s’mores around the fire pit to kick off Land Trust Days and your weekend early! Aquidneck Island Land Trust staff will lead a guided 1-mile hike around the property and share tips on what you can do on your own property to help out native wildlife and improve water quality. We will point out native plants\, invasive species\, and highlight the gardens on site. At the end of the hike we will gather around a fire pit for s’mores! We will also have art supplies on hand at the pavilion to sketch your favorite nature scene and a nature scavenger hunt for our youngest attendees. \nLand Trust Days is a statewide\, 2 month celebration of the many special places protected by land trusts. Land trusts across the state host activities to share the special places they are protecting for everyone\, young and old to enjoy.

Register here. \nJoin The Watch Hill Conservancy for a sunset stroll in The Napatree Point Conservation Area! \nCelebrate the beauty of late summer with an unforgettable evening in the Napatree Point Conservation Area! Join us for a guided 2-mile sunset walk under the last full moon of the summer solstice. \nAs the sun sets over Little Narragansett Bay\, we’ll explore the wonder of Napatree’s nightlife that becomes active at dusk. Today\, farm managers raise organically grown produce for a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and the seasonal Casey Farm Market. Tour the farmyard to visit the animals\, the cemetery where generations of Caseys are memorialized\, and the farm house museum gallery featuring family portraits and cultural objects representing all the people of this land.

Please register here. \nToday\, this 265-acre working farm is managed using innovative\, sustainable practices that continue the tradition of pastoral husbandry\, raising heritage Red Devon cattle and multi-colored sheep. Explore this 265-acre property\, which today is a sustainable working farm. \nDuring open hours\, take a self-guided walking tour on up to 2.5 miles of easy to moderate trails\, participate in an outdoor workshop\, explore farm fields with grazing livestock\, stroll along the shore\, and view seasonal farm activities. The farmers grow hay and sell livestock to other farms\, and produce wool products available at our farm. The 1796 house\, still used as the farmers’ residence\, may be viewed from the exterior only.
