The Westerly Land Trust invites you to join us for a special presentation and family hike at Wahaneeta Preserve! Jeanine Silversmith from RI Families In Nature and author of The Rhode Island Family Hiking Guide and Journal will share some tips for enjoying the great outdoors with children. Books will be available for purchase so you can start your own adventure journal! A portion of the proceeds from book sales will benefit the Westerly Land Trust. After the brief presentation, we’ll hit the trails with Donna Anderson of EnCORE Fitness & Wellness to explore this enchanting woodland preserve. We’ll end with hot apple cider and “Make Your Own Trail Mix” in the cabin.

Directions: Wahaneeta Preserve is located on left side of Moorehouse Road off Dunns Corner-Bradford Road. Turn in at Trombino Fields sign. Please follow the dirt road past the ball fields and take a left at the Wahaneeta sign to enter the preserve. Please park in the Preserve parking lot. Do not park on the road.
