Join naturalist Paul Miller for a walk at Charlestown Land Trust‘s Mill Pond Preserve to look for migrating birds. Late September/early October is the height of the annual fall migration in southern New England.
We’ll explore the diverse habitats at this wonderful conservation property to see as many bird species as we can. Migration is hit or miss, so we will either have a slow morning with some local resident birds, or we could experience a busy morning with lots of migrants that arrived the night before who will be busy feeding to refuel for the next part of their journey south for the winter. Let’s find out, see you there!
Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring bug spray and water. This event is FREE and suitable for all ages! Attendees are asked to leave their dogs at home for this walk, as quiet is necessary for bird spotting.
Rain Date: None. Updates will be emailed to those who have registered for the event by emailing angela@charlestownlandtrust.org.
