Join The Nature Conservancy for a hike along Tillinghast Pond’s less traveled trails. We’ll walk up to the old dairy barn, which TNC acquired in 2019, and then stroll out through a series of hayfields, passing three historic cemeteries along the way. After returning to the barn, we’ll continue the hike around Tillinghast Pond.
Total distance: 4.5 miles
Difficulty: moderate, for distance and occasional small hills
Restrooms available
Leashed dogs are permitted.
Rain Date: September 9, 2022
Tillinghast Pond is TNC’s largest nature preserve in Rhode Island. The 13-mile trail system was designed in partnership with the National Park Service, and offers a sense of remoteness that is hard to find in southern New England.
