Join the Borders Farm Preservation for a day of events!
A trail walk will be offered at 10 a.m., otherwise hikers are welcome to enjoy the trail system on their own. Maps are available on site and on the website: https://bordersfarm.org/visit.
At 11 a.m. we will be honoring our past president, John Bradley, with a Trail Dedication. His leadership with three BSA Eagle Scout projects resulted in the creation of our trail system. John passed away from cancer in 2021.
Visitors will be offered refreshments and an opportunity to tour the farmhouse, with docents to relay the history of the farm. A taste a sample of Switchel, the traditional haytime energy drink for laborers will be available. There will be a musical jam in the afternoon.
The site also features an 1840 farmhouse, barn, and outhouse. A “RI Walks” Steelyard creature can be found on a section of the Red Trail!
Dogs on leashes are welcomed. Kid-friendly. Clean Port-o-potty; house not handicap accessible, but grounds are flat. The John Bradley Trail is flat and open.
