Anyone interested in contributing to an ongoing volunteer project is invited to join the Coventry Land Trust for a training session on bird and vegetation counts, as well as creating fishing line collectors out of percolation tubes. The training will be led by Jenna O’del, Associate Wildlife Biologist.
Volunteers will learn to carry out these biological surveys, so that they can be equipped to contribute to the projects on their own time. Volunteers of all ages and experiences are welcome! Whether a volunteer has studied biology or history their whole life, or doesn’t know the difference between a bug and an insect, everyone is welcome. Survey work is needed at several of the land trust’s beautiful properties.
Email Virginia Streeter at vstreeter@rilandtrusts.org to RSVP.
If you are interested in participating in this project but are unable to attend the training session, please contact Jenna O’del directly at jodel@uri.edu.
