Join the Bristol Land Conservation Trust for a Full Hunter’s Moonrise Walk on Thursday, October 17 at Mount Hope Farm. The event, which takes place at 250 Metacom Avenue, Bristol RI, begins at 5:15 p.m. with guests gathering at the far end of the main parking lot below the barn.
Celebrate fall with a leisurely walk to the shore field, about 0.8 miles on a paved path, as we wait for the moonrise at about 6:00 p.m., sky conditions permitting. We’ll be on the lookout for wildlife on the way down, particularly around the pond. October’s full moon, the Full Hunter’s Moon, will be the third and closest of four supermoons in a row for 2024.
Please wear appropriate walking shoes, and bring bug repellent, binoculars and flashlight (for the walk back) if desired. Light refreshments will be served. The event should conclude by 7:30 p.m.
The cash or check only fee is $15 per person, a maximum of $25 for families, payable at the door. Proceeds will benefit the conservation and stewardship efforts of the BLCT. This event is free for BLCT members.
