Join the Foster Land Trust for a guided hike at the Spencer property with local naturalist Martha Thoman!
This hike will wind through glacial moraine, passing boulders covered with interesting foliose lichen. The first half of this hike out to Boulder Field is on an easy trail. Those not wanting to negotiate the more difficult, rocky single track (the second half of the hike) can return by the wider main trail.
Total distance is approximately 2 miles. Wear good walking/hiking shoes and bring drinking water. Bug spray and sun screen are recommended. There are no restroom facilities at this location.

Traveling west on Route 6 in Foster, RI- Turn right onto Anthony Rd. Travel one block, turn right onto Old Danielson Pike. Spencer Property will be on the left at Pole # 64. A parking area for ~6 cars is available. If lot is full, park on roadside.
