Due to weather forecast of predicted rain for this evening, Bristol Land trust is cancelling this event.

Bristol Land Conservation Trust and Mount Hope Farm invite you to witness the rising full moon. Participants will meet at the Barn across from the Governor Bradford House for a brief “Welcome and Introduction” at 6:30pm. We’ll plan to have two walking groups leaving at 6:45pm and 7:00pm, at a leisurely pace down the paved road, enjoying nature’s many sights and summer sounds. We’ll pass the Duck Pond part-way down and arrive at the Cove Cabin for a sunset overlooking scenic Mount Hope Bay, while enjoying light refreshments. After sunset, we’ll move into the big field to watch for the rising of the Full Sturgeon Moon across Mount Hope Bay. Last year two sailboats danced in the moonlight reflected on the bay. On the way back, we’ll listen for sounds of the evening, basking in the light of the full moon!
This popular walk is suitable for dogs on leash and strollers, but is not fully handicapped accessible. Please dress for the evening’s weather and bring a flashlight (though it may not be needed). Bug protection is recommended at dusk. Don’t forget your camera!
