Weather forecasts for heavy rain with thunderstorms and even the potential for flash floods have informed our decision to cancel tonight’s full moon walk.
The Westerly Land Trust invites you to experience a full moon evening hike through the Crandall Family Preserve with hike leader, Donna Anderson. Savor a tranquil hike through the moonlit forest at a preserve which is not open to the public except for guided walks like this one. Learn about the habitats, flora and fauna here, and some interesting historical facts under the splendor of a full Corn Moon.
This hike is considered easy and level. For all hikes, be sure to wear shoes appropriate for natural conditions along the paths that may include rocks, roots and mud. In warmer months, come prepared with insect repellant for your comfort, but it is also recommended year round for prevention of Lyme disease.
