Join Charlestown Land Trust Board Members Bill McCusker and Keith Killingbeck for a leisurely hike in the Charlestown Land Trust’s Mill Pond Preserve. Initially, the Preserve functioned as a fish hatchery, but that is no longer in operation. The hatchery and the plants of the Preserve will be the focus of our hike from 10:00 AM to noon on Saturday, October 8. What could be better than a walk in a New England forest and former fish hatchery in the middle of fall?
Cancelled if weather is inclement. An email will be sent to those who RSVP’d in the event of cancellation.
With birds as a focus on this hike, we ask that you leave dogs at home.
Mill Pond Preserve is located on Route 2 (Charlestown, RI), just north of the Route 1 intersection. Going north it is the first driveway on the right after the entrance to Norton Supply. Look for signs. Visitors should wear sturdy shoes.
