The Cumberland Land Trust invites you to come to enjoy a leisurely guided hike in the woods of the Cumberland Monastery, owned by the Town of Cumberland, and learn the interesting history surrounding the Monastery property. Join us for one of 2 starting times for the hike: 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. We’ll make stops along the way to see the historical Nine Men’s Misery monument and the Monk’s quarry.
The walk is about 2 miles round trip. Open to all ages; most appropriate for ages 6 and up. Wear comfortable walking or hiking shorts for travel on established trails. There are some hills and trail is rocky in spots. Bring insect repellant and water. Bathroom facilities are available. Please note that the trail is not categorized as handicapped accessible.
In this event of rain, the Land Trust Days Kick Off Celebration will be postponed to Saturday 8/11. Check www.rilandtrustdays.org for updates.
