Join the Newport Open Space Partnership to climb to the top of Miantonomi Tower and enjoy the view from the highest point on the island!
The tower sits in Miantonomi Park, which is conserved by Aquidneck Land Trust and is the largest city-owned park in Newport. The park features nature trails, picnic areas, and a playground. The tower, completed in 1929, was designed by the renowned architectural firm of McKim, Mead & White.
The historic tower will be open for FREE every Saturday from 11 am – 2 pm from June 15 through August.
Directions and Parking: 120 Hillside Ave, Newport, RI 02840. A path from the parking lot leads to the tower.
