Land Trust Days: THANKSGIVING EDITION
Join the Glocester Land Trust for a 2.5 mile walk on the newly finished Klutz Trail in the 1278-acre Sprague Farm Town Forest!
Among the sights will be lots of stone walls, a mid 1800’s farmhouse cellar hole and two story chimney, old gravel roads dating to the 1700’s, mountain laurel thickets thru valleys, and ridges with scenic vistas. One of the vistas may overlook the home of Mongo: Chepachet’s well known black bear and perennial write-in candidate for Town Council.
The walk will take about two hours. Some of the walk may pass thru a very short muddy area so everyone should wear appropriate footwear. The trail is gently rolling with one short steep section. It is hunting season so everyone should wear a bright orange hat or vest. Don’t have one? No problem, we have vests you can borrow for the walk.
This event is FREE and suitable for all ages. Leashed & social dogs welcome. No aggressive or constantly barking dogs.
Severe weather cancels the event.
Updates will be shared on the Facebook & Meetup event pages.
Questions? Post in the Facebook or Meetup event!
