The Tiverton Open Space Commission invites you to a vigorous 1¾ mile walk at Weetamoo Woods. You will be among the first to travel the newly created, uneven trails through a recent addition to one of the Commission’s most remarkable protected properties. Starting from the East Road entrance, trails pass through the oak and holly forest and loop past cellar holes and an 1840 saw mill. Enjoy the woods and discover the hidden history of Tiverton.
Be sure to wear appropriate footwear, socks and long pants (remember this is tick territory). Insect repellant is highly recommended. No handicap accessibility. No restrooms. Dogs are not permitted for this group hike. This walk will be held rain or shine.
