Join the Coventry Land Trust for a guided walk, followed by an open trail day at the Stella Hall property to introduce this conservation area to Coventry!
Come experience the seasonal changes that September brings. The scenery on the trails is a mix of pine and hardwood forest along with wetlands and a scenic view of Stump Pond. A beaver dam can be seen at an inlet of Stump Pond. This property offers hikers a peaceful backdrop for a weekend excursion. The property is situated within a beautiful 70 acre conservation area where the Coventry Land Trust has developed three trails that are wide, level and easy to walk regardless of experience level.
At 10am there will be a guided walk of the property’s yellow trail with members of the Land Trust. The walk will be 1 ¼ miles long (about 45-60 minutes) at a moderate pace.
Following the guided walk, all trails well be open until 1pm for self-guided access. There will be a member of The Coventry Land Trust at the trailhead to provide information and direct you to the trails.
Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and good walking/hiking shoes. The Coventry Land Trust will provide bottled water, snacks and bug spray. In addition, the Land Trust will be holding a drawing featuring gift certificates from local businesses.
This event is free and open to the public. Leashed dogs welcome. (No plans for a rain date)
