Join Glocester Land Trust for a 2 ½ mile walk on five new trails in the Klutz Woodland area of the 1278 acre Sprague Farm Town Forest.
Among the sights will be lots of stone walls, a mid 1800’s farmhouse foundation and chimney, groups of the rare Striped Maple tree, and old gravel roads unchanged for 200 years.
The walk will take about two hours. Some of the walk will pass through muddy areas so everyone should wear appropriate footwear.
Dogs are welcome but they must be leashed and social. No aggressive dogs. It is not yet hunting season, so orange clothing is not necessary.
Rain Date: None. Rain/thunderstorms may cancel this walk. Updates will be shared on the Facebook & Meetup event pages.
Questions? Contact walk leader Roy Najecki at 647-3631 (…or post a question in the Facebook or Meetup event!)
Meeting Place/Directions: Meet at the new Klutz Woodland parking area which is across from 162 Joe Sweet Road in the Chepachet area of Glocester.
