This event has been rescheduled from October 21st to the 22nd due to weather.
While we appreciate our allies, this hike is for members of the LGBTQ+ community only.
Join Queer Hikes and The Nature Conservancy for a hike along Tillinghast Pond’s less traveled trails. We’ll walk up to the old dairy barn, which TNC acquired in 2019, and then stroll out through a series of hayfields, passing three historic cemeteries along the way. After returning to the barn, we’ll continue the hike around Tillinghast Pond.
Total distance: 4.5 miles. Difficulty: moderate, for distance and occasional small hills. Restrooms available. Dogs are not permitted.
Tillinghast Pond is TNC’s largest nature preserve in Rhode Island. The 13-mile trail system was designed in partnership with the National Park Service and offers a sense of remoteness that is hard to find in southern New England.
