Join the Scituate Land Trust for a beautiful walk in the woods at Westconnaug Meadows as part of the Land Trust Days ENCORE during Thanksgiving weekend! Explore this beautiful property while walking of Thanksgiving dinner!
The walk will test your knowledge of a variety of tree species: white pine, gray birch, oak, and chestnut, among others. A highlight is a brief primer on vernal ponds. Hosted by representatives of the Scituate Land Trust and Conservation Commission.
Be sure to wear good walking shoes. This event is free and suitable for all ages — leashed dogs welcome as well!
**While hunting is not permitted at Westconnaug Meadows, there is a possibility of hunting on nearby properties. It is a good idea to wear some orange (or another bright color).
This walk will be canceled in the case of heavy rain and/or thunderstorms. Updates will be posted to the Facebook and Meetup event pages.
