SUMMARY:Gansett Days: Sunset Farm Trail Walk
DESCRIPTION:The Narragansett Land Conservancy Trust (NLCT): Will sponsor a walk along the Sunset Farm Trail on Sunday\, September 20\, 2026\, as part of the Gansett Days celebration. Participants will meet in the parking area behind Kinney Bungalow. This is a dog friendly walk\, and dogs MUST always be leashed and picked up after. \n\nThe trail is wide\, showing the traditional farming uses onsite. The entire 1.5-mile loop is in the shape of a “lasso\,” and is generally flat with a few sections of elevation change\, but none are steep. The trail head is at the far northwest point of the parking lot\, next to the gate entering the farm area. The trails boast scenic views of the farm\, diverse natural features\, as well as an overlook and picnic area on Champlin Cove in Point Judith Pond. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed

SUMMARY:Gansett Days: Gansett Loop Trail Walk
DESCRIPTION:The Narragansett Land Conservancy Trust (NLCT) and Friends of Canonchet Farm (FOCF): Will be sponsoring a hike of the Gansett Loop Trail on Sunday\, September 20\, 2026\, as part of the Gansett Days celebration. \nThe Gansett Loop Trail is 5.2 miles in length\, and hikers will be able to complete the entire trail or walk one or more of the legs of the trail. The walk will begin at 10am and parking will be available in three locations: Pier Middle School\, The Narragansett Community Center\, and the West Parking Lot opposite Narragansett Town Beach. At the school and the Community Center there will be volunteers to guide the hikers\, answer questions\, and provide directions. The NLCT and FOCF will provide participants with a keepsake of the event. This is a dog friendly walk\, and dogs MUST always be leashed and picked up after.
