Land Trust Days is celebrating its 5th year: August 13 - October 2

This is your opportunity to discover Rhode Island’s protected open space lands where you can get outdoors and enjoy nature. Land Trust Days has something for everyone. Many guided walks and other activities are offered by land trusts throughout the state. The walks introduce you to some of Rhode Island’s most interesting trails. You can take a full moon walk, visit a ghost town, walk through sculptures and learn about mushrooms and history. You can also attend community festivals, a bonfire and hot dog roast, and a trolley tour of protected lands on Aquidneck Island. Most activities are free. Some free events have limited capacity and require reservations. A few events require registration and have a fee. So check the details for the activities you want to attend and plan ahead so you won't be disappointed.

For more information on upcoming events, check out our Activities page and download a copy to keep!

We also post activities on MeetUp and Facebook. New to Meetup? Just go to and sign up - membership is free. Click on “Find a Meetup Group” and type in Rhode Island Land Trust Days. Once you sign up, you will get notified about all the Land Trust Days activities as well as many land trust events throughout the year.

If you prefer to be a “Do it Yourself” hiker, ExploreRI has maps of land trust trails that you can visit anytime to take a walk and get outdoors.
