Shoreline Walk at Watson Farm

This event is posted on Historic New England. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Please register here.
If you’ve ever wondered about what kind of creature, geological event, or change in climate caused what you see along the Rhode Island coastline, this afternoon is for you. Take a meaningful and scenic walk from Watson Farm’s barnyard to the shore of Narragansett Bay and back. With environmental science teacher Janet Stone, learn about the geology and biology of the ecosystems we encounter. Take the longer view on what we see this day with thoughtful questions posed by climate expert Joie Grandbois. Get your own questions answered about the phenomena that happen when land meets sea, and enjoy some moderate exercise, thoughtful conversations, and light refreshments with us. You can also take a Shoreline Walk across the bay at Casey Farm on Saturday, August 22.
