Join The Watch Hill Conservancy for a sunset stroll in The Napatree Point Conservation Area!
Celebrate the beauty of late summer with an unforgettable evening in the Napatree Point Conservation Area! Join us for a guided 2-mile sunset walk under the last full moon of the summer solstice.
As the sun sets over Little Narragansett Bay, we’ll explore the wonder of Napatree’s nightlife that becomes active at dusk. During the walk, we will keep an eye out for a variety of nocturnal and coastal wildlife, including:
Bats
Night Herons
Dogfish
Horseshoe Crabs
Whelks
Rabbits
Minks
Skunks
Deer
Opossum
Migratory Birds
Our Science Advisors and Napatree Naturalists will provide a short lecture on the migratory birds & bat activity in the Napatree Point Conservation Area — participants will even get to experience using a bat call detector!
As darkness falls, we’ll gather to observe the full moon through a spotting scope.
Light snacks and beverages will be provided!
