Harrington Preserve | The Nature Conservancy

Join The Nature Conservancy in exploring the new Harrington Preserve, which opened to hiking last year. Only accessible through the Big River Management Area, this forested preserve features boulders, fascinating stone walls and cairns, plus a beaver pond and a historic cemetery.

For this 3.6-mile hike, please be prepared to walk over an uneven trail surface; sturdy hiking shoes are recommended. The trail is considered moderate due to the length and varied terrain, with one steep hill and a steady, slow incline on the return to the parking area.

Meet in the Big River Management Area parking lot at approximately 500 Hopkins Hill Road in West Greenwich.
