A hearing has been scheduled for H5914, the “Liberal Interpretation” bill. This bill is a priority for the RI Land Trust Council. It would add a clause to the legislation that enables conservation easements which would direct the courts to “liberally interpret” easements in favor of the grants and funds spent on them in the event of a dispute.
